We cut this cocktail dress with a fold-over neckline that rests across the shoulders. The knit fabric carries high stretch to keep the pencil silhouette close through the torso and down past the knee. It pulls on easily without complex closures for evening wear.

• Fold over neckline. The wide band turns down over the upper arms and collarbone. It holds its horizontal line across the chest through elastic tension in the knit fabric.
• Close pencil cut. We shaped the skirt straight through the hips down to a midi hem that falls at the knee. The fabric hugs close from bust to hem without adding bulk.
