How is the rack sorted?

By hem length first, then sleeve, then cloth. Midis for dinners and receptions, sleeveless and strapless minis for warm rooms, long sleeve minis for cooler nights, and one section of jumpsuits, rompers, skirts and matching sets cut from the same knits. The fit check sorts all 63 pieces by exactly these lines.

What is the ruching actually doing?

On 23 of our cuts, gathers sit over the side seams and waistline where a close cut needs extra give. They spread the tension of the knit so it follows the body instead of pulling flat, and they hold their gather through a night of sitting, standing and dancing.

How do I choose a size?

By the size chart on the partner listing, measured before ordering. Between two sizes on a bodycon cut, take the larger: the knit closes the gap on its own, while a size too small folds at the seams and never settles. Velvet cuts run slightly warmer and firmer than the plain knits.

Where is my order?

In the account that paid for it. The shop that took the payment runs the till, the shelves and the road, and its order page carries the parcel number and the date. This catalogue never sees an order at all.

Can I come to the Chicago address to try things on?

No, and we say it with regret. A visitor to that ninth floor would find patterns, a printer and somebody typing. There is nothing on the floor to try on and no counter to buy across. Letters reach us there; garments do not.
