When the fit misses

It starts in the order page

A dress that misses goes back to the shop that sold it. That shop sets the window, prints the label and takes the box in, and the money walks home along the same road on their calendar. None of it touches this catalogue, and that is exactly the point: the till that opened is the till that closes.

Before the dress goes back

  • Check the zipper first: a side zip that sticks at the seam usually only needs the cloth held flat.
  • Keep the tags on and the folds fresh until the decision is final.
  • Compare your measurements to the size chart on the listing itself; a close-fitting knit forgives a size up far better than a size down.

Never route it through our desk

The label from the order page carries the right address, and it is not ours. A dress left at 515 North State Street, Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60654 would sit in a ninth floor hallway with its window closing, because nobody on that floor can put a box back on the road. Print the label, use the address on it, and the clock stays honest.
