We cut this pencil midi in a stretch fabric that keeps its shape through the torso and down past the knee. Sheer mesh short sleeves add volume at the shoulder against the deep V neckline. The dress pulls on clean, pairing structured knit with light, gathered mesh for evenings and formal dinners.

• V neckline cut. The neck drops into a crisp V that opens up the collarbone while the body of the dress stays fitted. We proportioned the plunge to balance the added volume of the gathered shoulders.
• Sheer puff sleeves. The short sleeves are cut from sheer mesh gathered at the shoulder head and banded at the arm. They hold a rounded shape away from the sleeve seam without adding weight.
