We built this piece with an outer skirt panel over inner shorts, so you get the look of denim with the coverage of shorts. The high waist sits on an elastic band that pulls straight on without hardware. Soft blue cotton denim keeps its structure through warm afternoons and casual weekend plans.

• Skort construction. The front presents as a clean jean skirt while the interior shorts stay hidden underneath. This layout keeps the leg openings stable when you walk, sit, or move around outside.
• Elastic high waistband. An encased elastic waistband anchors the rise at the natural waist. It pulls on directly without a metal zipper or button fly, keeping the front flat and easy to adjust.
• Classic blue denim. We chose a medium blue cotton denim that is soft against the skin but durable enough for frequent wear. The woven twill holds its shape through full days out.
• Care and wash. Turn the skort inside out before washing in cold water with similar blue tones. Line dry or tumble dry on low to protect the elastic band and preserve the indigo wash.
