We cut this midi dress from a dense polyester and spandex knit that holds its line through the torso. Elastic along the neckline lets you style it straight across the shoulders or off to one side. Side ruffles lead down to a flared lower hem that allows easy movement when you walk.

• Elastic ruffle neckline. The neckline uses an elastic band wrapped in matching fabric ruffles. You can wear it straight across both shoulders, pull it lower, or angle it as an asymmetrical line.
• Side and hem ruffles. We set ruffles along the side seam to add dimension across the bodycon silhouette. The lower hem finishes with a wider ruffle flare that gives room for your stride.
• Back zipper closure. A full-length zipper runs down the back seam for easy dressing. The hardware sits flush against the stretch fabric to keep the rear profile clean.
• Dense stretch jersey. We chose a blend of 95 percent polyester and 5 percent spandex. Wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle and lay flat to dry so the ruffles keep their crisp edge.
