We cut these black shorts with a high rise and front pleats for structure. The woven polyester-cotton blend has slight mechanical stretch and breathes well in warm weather. A matching tie belt secures the waistband, and side pockets sit flat along the seams.

• High waist cut. The waistband sits high on the torso to anchor the fit. Front pleats give room through the hips while keeping the overall line tailored and neat.
• Removable tie belt. We include a matching fabric sash belt that threads through the loops. Knot it at the front or side to adjust the tension at the waist.
• Polyester cotton blend. The fabric combines ninety percent polyester with ten percent cotton for a soft hand. It resists wrinkling and holds the crisp shape of the pleats through wear.
• Pockets and wash care. Deep side pockets sit along the outer seams to hold small items. Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and line dry to protect the weave.
