We cut this dress with a fitted bodice that releases into an A-line skirt at mini length. The front sits high in a wide boat neck, while the reverse dips into an open back. It pulls over the head in a lightweight stretch knit sewn for warm party nights.

• Boat neck and open back. The front neckline runs straight across the collarbone from shoulder to shoulder. Spin around and the back stays open, balanced by the wide-set shoulder straps that anchor the bodice in place.
• Fitted bodice to flared skirt. We shaped the upper half to sit snug against the torso before easing out over the hips. The flare adds movement to the hem while keeping the waistline defined without bulky seams.
• Lightweight summer knit. The white stretch fabric breathes easily in high heat and keeps its recovery after long hours out. It holds clean edges along the armholes and hemline through repeated wash cycles.
