We cut this party mini from a dense polyester and spandex knit with plenty of give. The deep V neckline is matched by fitted full-length sleeves and gathered side seams that pull fabric across the torso. It sits close from the high waist down to the short hem.

• V neckline and sleeves. The open V neck balances the coverage of the full-length sleeves. Both are cut close to keep the lines clean under a winter coat or jacket.
• Ruched torso seams. Gathers along the side seams pull the fabric in soft horizontal folds across the waist and hips. This construction gives the close bodycon cut room to move.
• Stretch knit blend. We chose a medium-weight polyester and spandex blend with a smooth face. It recovers its shape after hours of wear and holds its deep black tone.
